I been in the windshield business for over 9 years. I have tried various other windshield repair tools from a range of manufacturers (Liquid Resins, Delta Kits, Glass Mechanics, U.S. Windshield Repair, Doctor Glass, looking for a system that was easier to train people. Now I'm not saying that these other manufacturer's tools don't work, some work quite well in fact... but either were not simple enough or just should have been better. An example, some systems have a locking mechanism to lock the piston down that requires two hands to use and most often it slips. Some have air hose, and other don't have a way to move the injector away from the break.
Tim and Karen have thought of allot of things to make their system work very efficient. For example, If you ever found yourself placing a probe down the injector barrel to flex the break, or reflecting sunlight from a mirror to cure better around the injector because your bridge that holds the injector shades the break because it is so wide, or flexing the small cracks on star breaks, then you know what I'm talking about. When I learned windshieldrepairkits.net made another tool that repairs long cracks as fast or faster than a chip repair, it was enough for me to take a flight over there to see for myself how their equipment works. The first chip repair he did was a star break and I was impressed as I sat inside the vehicle and watched how fast those small leg cracks filled in. And yes it's true, long crack repair can be done faster than a chip repair.
There was allot of things I learned from Tim and because the last guy that had 20 + years experience and making his own tools had a big ego. I was a little surprised Tim with 30 years in the windshield repair business and also developed his own patent tools he was adding a few tips and tools that I mentioned to his tool box. So I was pleasantly surprised - for this is a sign of a true a master windshield repair technician and that is a technician that is always willing to adopt better ways to make their repair quality better or making the process easier as long it doesn't sacrifice on quality. The only hard part will be for someone that has worked with one kind of system for a long time... but in a couple of days or weeks you'll be noticing how much easier a repair will be. Having been doing mobile repair, owning his own replacement shop and then going to straight 95% repair work, they also know the business of windshield repair inside and out. In short, you can't go wrong with this company.
